Small, round berry that measures 1.5 to 2 cm in diameter, with an appearance similar to a small tomato, of an orange-yellow color, covered by a kind of “bud” formed by leaves with a texture similar to that of paper. The aguaymanto has an appetizing appearance. It is flavorful and bittersweet, with a rich aroma.
